Tax Evasion in Corporate India
How much ethical is it when well educated corporate indians cheat to to escape tax cuts .
People produce fake rent receipts in the name of their father or mother to get House Rent Allowance (HRA) without tax.Fake medical reciepts to get medical allowance and fake LTA tickets to get LTA.When a film like mr india becomes a Mega hit , where everyone feels happy on the defeat of enemy of india "mogambo" .when the same person who hated mogambo comes out of the theatre does he himself bocome the mogambo ? The argument that goes in favour to cheat is that the government officials itself are very corrupt, does it give us the moral right to fake receipts to escape tax ?
I asked this question to myself and the answer i got was no . It might be because of my personal experiences.
First i have realized that money is not everything if u have a big house but no time to spend with your family whats the use!
Secondly i live in lokhandwala area of mumbai , the streets here are garbage free ,here are many gardens , many banks the whole area looks beautiful but outside it mumbai roads are full with traffic jams .So i feel if i give tax money to the government the government will use it to build a speedy infrastructure for mumbai .I want my money to be used for development of Mumbai ! I want to become selfish here and say mumbai and not india because i feel mumbai has been working hard for india since pre independence its time we award mumbai for its hard work .I was very disappointed when the first metro was made in delhi (Not with metro in delhi but because mumbai was ignored ) ,It might be the officials in mumbai \maharashtra be sleeping but mumbai deserved a great infrastructure .Better late then never . Do let me know ur opinions about how ethical it is to evade tax by corporate india!
